How it works
OwlVerify is a hashing and verification layer: we fingerprint your content, record proof metadata, anchor the proof to Hedera, and let you verify later with a clear match or mismatch. The file itself stays off the ledger.
The flow
Only the hash and related proof metadata are anchored. Your underlying document or file content is not stored on Hedera.
From submission to anchor, the emphasis is on the hash and proof record—not on publishing your raw bytes.
Match or mismatch
Same hash → the content matches what you originally recorded. Different hash → something changed. That’s the whole signal—no hand-waving about “trust.”
Why anchor at all?
Anchoring gives you an external reference: a record on Hedera that exists outside your app and your database. Useful when you need independent verification—not because the word “blockchain” sounds important, but because a shared ledger is a practical place to park a proof.
